A loan helped to purchase sacks of fruits and coconuts for resale.

Mwanakombo's story

Mwanakombo is a married woman with three children, one of whom attends school while two are still too young for schooling. She owns a house that has electricity but no piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is school fees for the family.

For the past one and a half years, she has operated a fruit and coconuts selling business. She sells to her neighbors and passersby. Her major challenge is the high cost of competition in her business.

With the KES 10,000 she wants to purchase sacks of fruits and coconuts for resale. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business and improve her living standards.
