Duhozanye Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy more inventory such as beans, Irish potatoes, maize, rice, and bananas.
Duhozanye Group's story
Gilbert is 27 years old, single, and was named as leader of this group because of his experience and background. He is the person photographed holding a register book, and has owned and operated a corner market for the past six years. Like many in the group, his business is well organized and requires that he work from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. Despite the long days, Gilbert is determined to operate a successful business in order to provide a better life for his community and himself. He has requested a loan from Kiva through the VisionFund Rwanda Company to buy inventory such as beans, Irish potatoes, maize, rice and bananas, and oil. With the profits from this loan, he will be able to reinvest in his business and save for the future.
