James's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy dry maize to grind into flour and ready to be used by his customers.

James's story

James, thirty years old, is a happily married man who is blessed with four children, one of whom is pictured here. His wife is a businesswoman.

James enjoys serving people in his community. He operates a posho mill and a timber planing business. He grinds his customers’ grain into flour for different uses and purposes. He has been in this trade for many years, and his clients are very satisfied with his services.

James has applied for a 50,000 KES loan through Kiva's field partner ECLOF to buy dry maize to grind into flour. With already-ground flour he will be able to save his customers time standing in line and waiting for their grain to be finished grinding. He will use his profits to pay his loan in the least amount of time possible. His dream is to grow his business ever larger.
