Linah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farm inputs such as potato seeds and improve her potato farming.

Linah's story

Linah is a widowed mother of five and is a rural small-holder farmer from the Molo area of Kenya. Her family's main income source is milk from their dairy farm. However, they are also involved in other agricultural activities such as growing bananas, vegetables, fruits, and grains.

The biggest problem that farmers from Molo face is the huge deficit in terms of access to agricultural inputs, meaning that farmers' yields and incomes are far below what they could be. Juhudi Kilimo partnered with Kiva to provide financial services to small-holders around Kenya. Through these financial services farmers from Molo, like Linah, can now buy productive assets and important agricultural inputs for use on their farms.

Linah is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs such as potato seeds and improve her potato farming business. Your loan will enable her to improve her production through the use of quality farm inputs. This intervention will help her meet the increasing demand for food in the market and, in the process, generate more income to repay the loan debt and improve her family's quality of life. She also hopes to improve the condition of her house.

Help this widowed mother to accomplish all her dreams with just a loan!
