Gainsland Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to restock the ingredients for her detergent production to meet client demands for the coming season.

Gainsland Group's story

Constance started her own business by making detergents. It was an idea she had for quite some time. She is 57 years old and resides in the Budiriro suburb with her husband and three grandchildren.

She started her business 3 years ago by getting lessons on how to make the toilet cleaners from a friend. She would make 20 liters of the cleaner each day and sell them to her neighbors in 350 ml bottles. As time went on, she also learnt to make car washing liquid and dishwashing detergents. She now also sells in 25 litre bottles.

Business has since expanded significantly and she now supplies nearby supermarkets. The capital that she has is now limiting her production and it has also become a challenge for her to restock ingredients for enough quantities to meet the demands of her clients.

This prompted her to form a group with her church mates and they named the group Gainsland. They received business training and had mastered the record keeping and marketing training the most.

With this first loan, Constance will use her portion to restock the ingredients for her detergent production, so that she can meet all her client demands in this coming season.
