A loan helped to purchase 5 sacks of cassava flour for stocking her store.

Ujamaa Group's story

This client, Gorette, is the president of the loan group called “Ujamaa” and has been an active member of the microfinance institution Hekima for over five years. A vendor of corn flour for eight years at a public location, she is 45 years old and the mother of seven children, all students. Her initial funds had come from her husband, who is a mechanic.

With this loan, she is going to purchase 5 sacks of cassava flour to stock up her warehouse. Her wish is to open a large warehouse locally, so that many people may come to stock up from her (as a supplier). Her heart is filled with joy because of the financial support that Hekima brings to long-forgotten women.
