Salvaje Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy cold meats, chicken, groceries and basic grains to sell.

Salvaje Group's story

The "Salvaje" group is made up of four enterprising and smiling women, who belong to the Miskita ethnic group in the City of Bilwi, Municipality of Puerto Cabezas. They organized themselves three years ago with the aim of having their own sources of income and improving their quality of life little by little.

Delita is a member of the Salvaje communal bank. She is a cheerful woman, 33 years old and married, with four school-aged children. Her husband works as an independent fisherman.

With the aim of contributing to the expenses of her household and her children's education, Delita started one year ago selling groceries from her house made of thatch and wood, with capital of C$1000 (one thousand Córdobas). Thanks to her earnings and the loans provided by Pana Pana and financed by Kiva, she has been able to expand her business. She is requesting a loan to buy cold meats, chicken, grocery products and basic grains. She dreams of having a [full-sized] grocery store.
