Pedro Antonio's story

Pedro has made a living for 25 years in agriculture. Nowadays, he runs a small farm of 2.45 hectares on which he grows coffee, beans, and corn. His farm is located in the northern region of Nicaragua, where he lives with his five children. Two of them are currently studying in elementary school. He counts on a loyal commitment for the application of Buenas Prácticas Agrícolas [Good Agricultural Practices], which signifies a commitment with the environment. He has a preserved area for erosion and landslides, which he contributes to with the production of his lands.

The funds he is applying for will be invested in the establishment of 0.35 hectares of cacao for which he needs to buy supplies such as: plants, bags, and payment for his coworkers.

With the support of his family, he has been able to maximize the resources and agricultural production on his farm. He is establishing his family's situation and helping the community. This loan will allow him to increase the diversity of his products and his productivity by 40%. Pedro's dream is to have a model farm in which he can share his experience with other producers and improve the wellbeing of his family.
