Cosoltepec Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy corn, lard, chicken, chilis, milk, flour, sugar, butter, chocolate, peaches, and strawberries.

Cosoltepec Group's story

Andrea is a hardworking woman who is committed to her children and grandchildren who make the home happy. Fifteen years ago, "Andi," as she is known in the community, decided to start selling ranchero-style tamales, corn on the cob, and flip flops. Her earnings allow her to support her husband in paying the household expenses.

Motivated by her children and with the goal of finding a productive way to use her free time, she incorporated the production and sale of pastries, the buying and selling of cheese, the raising of egg-laying hens, and the selling of eggs into her business. She currently makes tamales three times per week with the help of her children who roast and clean the leaves while she prepares the dough.

With her current income and the economic support of her children, she was able to remodel her house and build an overhang.

She has requested a new loan in order to invest in the purchase of corn, lard, chicken, chilis, milk, flour, sugar, butter, chocolate, peaches, and strawberries so she can continue with her work.
