Precious Stones Group's story

Memory lives just outside Chitungwiza. She is in the poultry business and keeps broilers for resale. Memory started her poultry business in 2000 but she had a couple of stop signs along her long walk in the business. Memory usually keeps batches of 100 chickens at a time and she has a well-built fowl run (enclosed yard) which has a capacity of 200 birds. Memory is married to a Pastor, so professionally she is the shepherdess. She always encourages other women to be hardworking and to not only rely on their husbands. Memory not only talks the talk, she also walks the walk as she aspires to be a positive example to all women through her business. She is a member of the Precious Stones group.

Memory is 41 years old and is the mother of 3 children. She received a loan of $300 and plans on buying a batch of 100 birds and feed. All members of the group live in the same area and they have known each other for over 10 years. They are grateful for the support they have been given.
