Lucia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy potato seed in order to increase her production and thus have better yield, generating a better income for her family.

Lucia's story

Lucia lives in a rural area. She is part of a young couple with three children under her care. She went to elementary school, and due to her parents' economic issues, she could not continue with her studies.

The house she lives in is rustic, with a Spanish tile roof. It is lacking in some basic services. She is a hard-working person who, with a great deal of optimism, works day to day to obtain the income to support herself and her children.

She works mainly in agriculture. She has been doing this for approximately 8 years, growing and selling her agricultural product.

She takes her harvest to sell at the provincial markets in the region and nearby towns. Her production is mostly potatoes, with broad beans and oats, and other crops in lesser quantities for her own consumption.

Lucia finds it necessary to seek a loan to buy potato seed in order to increase her production, continue with her sales, and obtain the income to improve her quality of life.
