Kudu Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped buy and fill her gas tanks to expand her business.

Kudu Group's story

Supporting each other and sharing knowledge within a group are the two characteristics of a strong group. The ladies of the Kudu group have shown a good example in managing their first loan and growing their businesses over the past six months. Tafadzwa is one of the group members whose business has highly improved from only selling groceries to also selling liquid gas. The rising need for gas has created numerous small stations for gas refilling in the area and hers is optimally located at a busy central place where many come to buy groceries.

The 32-year-old mother of three children has been greatly assisting her unemployed husband with paying school fees and other household expenses. The other members of the group have various businesses including chicken rearing, mini-grocery shops, and cross-border trading.

A loan from Kiva will help her expand her gas refilling business through buying and filling her gas tanks. She also wants to improve her groceries in the tuck-shop to match the demand in the area.
