Quiana's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped replace outdated equipment, and gain working capital for my food truck business.

Quiana's story

Hi everyone, my name is Quiana Jackson. I'm a small business owner of F&Q Food Services. I've been working tirelessly all my life because I started my family at the tender age of 16. I now have five awesome kids, ranging the age of 23, 20, 16, 14, 14. Yes, 4 boys and 1 girl, who is a twin to her 14 year old brother. I lost my mom, grandmother, and three aunts a year apart from each other. All my years I have had to hold 2-3 jobs to provide for my kids. I was a dealer in the casino for 3 years, I was a bus driver of 10 years. My financial situation was never good enough, so I would take trade after trade until I found my long-lasting passion, which is cooking. I decided to save my money from the night (casino) job, and pay bills with the day (bus) job to start my own business. I've been in business since October 2014, and my appliances are costing me an arm and a leg. Every time the revenue would build up, something needs to be repaired. For the past few months I've been depressed and overwhelmed because I can't keep my business up with little to no capital. I have a huge responsibility and I am afraid to fail at what I am doing, so I decided to take classes at Delgado Community College in Funeral Services (Allied Health). I am seeking some finances through Kiva to give me a boost in buying a generator, cooler, and another grill for my Mobile Food Unit. It will be more than appreciated to receive anything from you guys to keep me in business. Thanks in advance.
