Rabchok's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to train 3 new artisans in traditional Tibetan felting and rent a larger workshop space.
Rabchok runs a small artisan business in a nomadic Tibetan region of western China, practicing traditional felting and spinning yak wool into yarn. In Rabchok’s local community, many young people have left the nomadic way of life and face dramatic unemployment. Rabchock trains these young people in felting and yarn-making, providing a steady income to local Tibetan youth and maintaining the culture of living off the yak. A loan of $8,000 will help Rabchok recruit 3 new artisan employees, and train them in his traditional Tibetan techniques for at least 6 months. He will also be able to rent a larger workshop space, which will improve the quality and quantity of the products his team creates and is able to sell.
