Kudanana 2 Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to get more chickens so that she can meet the demand.

Kudanana 2 Group's story

Memory is a 34 year old woman who resides with her 3 children in Budiriro, Harare. She works extra hard to succeed in her poultry business as she alone supports her family.

She travels to and from Mt. Darwin farms to collect free-range chickens that she sells in her neighborhood in Harare. She has been doing that business for 8 years now. Her client base has broadened to the extent that her capital, including savings, is not enough anymore to meet her demand. Hence she has requested a loan.

Memory got together with her friend and formed a group called Kudana 2 meaning Calling 2. They joined Thrive in 2014 and since then they have been working hard to develop their businesses as well as repay their installments on time.

They have now taken another loan of $650. Memory’s portion is $350 and she is going to use it to get more chickens so that she can meet her demand. In the future Memory is looking forward to supplying restaurants and hotels with chickens.
