Jemma's story

Jemma is 64 years old, and she lives in Sevan, a city in the Gegharkunik region. Jemma has three daughters, and all of them are married and live with their families.

Jemma has for many years worked at a kindergarden, but now her only occupation is farming, and only through it does she earn her living. She has cows, sheep and chickens on her farm. So she sells some milk, very little meat and eggs at the city’s wholesale market.

She is very hopeful that Kiva lenders will help her enrich her farm with cattle and also make the income from it increase. This loan of 700,000 Armenian drams Jemma asks in order to buy one more cow and also fodder for her farm cattle.
