A loan helped to purchase seasonal merchandise.

Katerina's story

Katerina started her business when her good friends suggested she should try her luck in private entrepreneurship. Back in 2010, they helped Katerina find a good sales location and buy merchandise wholesale that she could sell at her vending kiosk later. That is how Katerina started selling women’s footwear at a local market in her hometown of Zaporozhye. Ever since, Katerina has loved her job. She enjoys working with customers by offering them a variety of boots, shoes, athletic footwear, sandals, and other models depending on the season.

Katerina is married and has a one-year-old daughter. She works many hours a day, which is why sometimes her mother helps by looking after her baby daughter. Recently Katerina bought her second vending kiosk and reconstructed the facilities into a spacious vending pavilion. Reconstruction and a nice selection of inventory offered at this location attracts a lot of potential customers now. Katerina is planning to invest 110,000 UAH in the purchase of seasonal merchandise in bulk to be resold at her location this fall and winter.
