Irina's story

Irina is 44 years old and she lives with her husband and two children in the frontier village Aknaghbyur of Tavush region. Irina has higher education and she works at the village school as a teacher of math. Irina with her husband is also engaged in farming and agriculture.

They have large green-house where they cultivate tomato, cucumber, greens, peppers and beans and sell all year round. She also has nice orchard with trees of persimmon, apple, fig, pear and plum. They also take care of their farm cattle (cows, calves, pigs, chickens and bee families) and sell milk, cheese, curd, meat, eggs and honey to their regular customers. Since meat sale is rather profitable Irina mentions that they plan to make larger the number of her farm cattle.

This loan she asks in order to buy bulls, pigs and also fodder for all her farm cattle.
