Peter's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to obtain a water pump for irrigaiton.

Peter's story

Peter is a farmer in Mpongwe District, Zambia where he lives with his family of six. He is asking for a loan so that he can obtain a water pump for irrigation.

Peter focuses on growing tomatoes during Zambia's dry season. He is able to take crates of tomatoes to local markets where they can be purchased by traders who travel to the area from the major towns and cities.

Watering these crops during the dry season is a very labor-intensive task, and thus a water pump can be a major boost to rural farmers such as Peter.

Rent to Own will deliver a water pump directly to Peter's farm. Rent to Own will also provide Peter with training on how to use and properly maintain the water pump. With a water pump Peter plans to increase his production and also begin to grow other high-demand crops that he can also sell to earn additional income.
