Josefa's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more ground cherry plants.

Josefa's story

Josefa is 50 years old and she lives in the city of Otavalo, in a community called Gualavi, ten minutes from San Pablo Lake.
She has worked selling ground cherries for more than 15 years, in which time she has had a very profitable business and there is a great demand for her produce.
One year ago she suffered the loss of her husband, who was the pillar of the family.
Because of this situation, Josefa had to dedicate herself to focusing on continuing her agricultural business, especially growing ground cherries.
Josefa has been a member of the Co-op CACMU for more than 6 years. She has had the benefit of a few loans, which she has invested in her business. Today, she is requesting a loan to buy more ground cherry plants in order to increase her production and have more to offer to her customers and intermediaries.
This activity is very important to her ability to earn an income and to pay for her household expenses.
