Benkadi Ii Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy cows to sell.

Benkadi Ii Group's story

Kassoun is the man holding the cow's rope in the photo. He is 54 years old, is married and the father of 10 children aged between 6 and 25. Seven of them are going to school of which 3 are girls and 4 are boys.

A farmer by profession, Kassoun has also been doing cow fattening for 17 years. He buys his cows in his local market, gives them veterinary care and feeds them with oilcake. When the end of the loan term is approaching, he resells them. For that reason, he has turned to RMCR for a loan to have more cows to look after and in this way, with the profit that he generates, be able to take care of the needs of his family (schooling, health, clothes, lodging etc...). By taking care of his animals, he also has more manure for his fields and he is able to ensure food security for his family.

In the future, he aims to develop this business further so he can help his children who will soon finish their local schooling and go to the city to continue their studies.
