Kijiwe Pesa Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to increase the stock of best-selling fruits and vegetables and to replace the missing items in her food stall.

Kijiwe Pesa Group's story

Asha, 37, is married and has one little son. She is a green grocer as she operates a fruit stand that sells seasonal fruits and vegetables. At the same time, she runs a "mama lishe" food stall to support her family. She's been in the fruits-vending business for eight years now and is happy that she makes a great profit.

This will be her sixth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. Asha used her previous loans to restock her food stall and to buy more fruits for her fruit stand. Since she has been in multiple businesses, Asha used her profit to buy a brand new water tank for water distribution and she also increased her food inventory.

She applied for this loan to increase the stock of best selling fruits and vegetables and to replace the missing items in her food stall. Her dream is to become a successful green grocer and she will share this loan with her loan group members of "Kijiwe Pesa," who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan in full at maturity.
