Mario Alberto's story

Mario is married, and his wife works selling seafood. Only one of his children lives with him, and the others live on their own. Mario earns a living fishing and selling seafood. He has done this work for many years from the time he was an adolescent. His father is the one who taught him the work. Mario fishes almost every day, and he takes the product home so that his wife can sell it.

A few months ago, he was supported with a Kiva loan that he invested in fishing, and he has been very punctual with his monthly payments. He is now requesting another loan to purchase more nets for fishing. Mario wants to have better fishing equipment.
