Las De Zona Kiswawa Group's story

The “Las de Zona Kiswawa” loan group is starting the third cycle in Pro Mujer as part of the Copacabana focal center. It's made up of nine members and led by a board of directors with Cristina as the president.

The loan they take out will benefit the small microentrepreneurs where Cristina is a member. Currently, she has a business selling cheese. She learned this business from her parents many years ago.

The loan she's now taking out is to increase capital by buying cattle, which she will acquire from sellers in her community. Later, this will serve as a means of production. This form of work allows her to generate resources to support her family economically, since she's married and has two children.
