Morena Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy the ingredients to make pastries: flour, sugar, pineapple, coconut and linseed.

Morena Group's story

Morena Solidarity Group: This is a mixed solidarity group, composed of 2 women and one enterprising man. They got organized 4 years ago, with the desire to access funding with a joint guarantee to improve their families' quality of life.

MARTIN FRANCISCO: He is a member of the Morena Solidarity Group and is 50 years old. He has a 12 year old daughter who is in her first year of secondary school. With the intention of contributing towards the home expenses, he sells pastries in the streets that are made using a craft oven. He is asking for funding to buy ingredients to make pastries: flour, sugar, pineapple, coconut and linseed. He remembers fondly that he started his small business with C$ 5,000 (five thousand córdobas) and the support of his sister. His dream is to have a fully-equipped store where he can offer his products, like in a cafe.
