Kan Taunt-3 (A) Village Group's story

In the picture above, Cho is the third woman from the left. She is the featured borrower of Kan Taunt-3 (A) Village Group. She is 48 years old, married, and has one son.

Farming is the main source of Cho’s family income. Her family has been farming for generations. In order to earn additional income, Cho also has a small trade business in clothing. Once a month, she goes to a nearby town to buy clothes that she sells in her village market for a profit.

With her portion of this Kiva loan, Cho would like to purchase more paddy seeds and pay labor costs to the people who are helping to weed her farm. The funds will help her family to increase their monthly income. This will increase their financial stability. Her biggest dream is to provide her son a better education so he can become a doctor.

With Cho in the picture are Aung, May, Maung, Thel and Than.
