Filemon's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped To buy fertiliser.
Filemon is 66 years old. Widowed many years ago he has taken care of his 3 children, only the youngest of whom now lives with him at home, accompanying him and helping in his farming labours. His whole life he has grown and sold coffee, pineapples and bananas. Each time he begins work he carefully examines his plants, where he might sometimes find some bad ones so he must rely on the use of fungicides to prevent pests from spreading and to be able to achieve a high quality harvest, which he can sell in the various markets. This pays for his food, his son’s education and covers the expenses of his crops. Filemon’s wish is to increase his production and his income so next year he wants to renovate his plantations and continue his work to generate earnings that he shares with his son. This is his fifth loan with MFP, during his previous loans he made sure to make the repayments on time. Also, during this time he was renowned for arriving on time to community bank meetings, by carrying out his duties he helped his companions who are members of the board. The money he is requesting will buy several bags of nitrate (fertiliser) for his coffee plants.
