Sokhon's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a plot of farmland.

Sokhon's story

Sokhon is a 48-year-old beloved father of four dependent children. They live in the small community of Ou Chrok Village, Krouch Commune, Prey Chhor District, Kampong Cham Province, in Cambodia.

To make a living and support his standard of living, Sokhon manages and operates a farming business on a small farmland which is located near his house. On this farmland, he grows rice and sells his output to the local market. On average, he can generate earnings of USD $10 per day.

The current farmland that Sokhon owns is too small and it provides less benefit to him than he wants. Sokhon wants to enlarge his farmland area but he cannot afford to do so. Therefore, now he would like to get a Kiva loan from HKL to buy a plot of farmland for growing rice. Sokhon hopes this additional farmland will help to improve his living conditions.

This is the first loan cycle for Sokhon and he hopes this loan won't be rejected by lenders. After this loan, he wants to raise some cows and enlarge his house. Sokhon is thankful to all lenders for their financial support.
