Mery Azucena's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fertilizers for her coffee plants.

Mery Azucena's story

Mery is 32 years old and is in a common-law relationship with her partner. She has two children and she lives in a community in the municipality of Gracias, Lempira.

Three years ago she decided she wanted to earn her own income and began to grow coffee. She grows the coffee on a piece of farmland and sells her product at a local market. Mery started with a small growing area and now she has about three acres of coffee plants.

She is asking for a loan of 15,000 Lempiras and this is her third loan cycle with the institution. She will use the money from the loan to buy fertilizers to apply to her plants, hoping to have a better harvest.

Her plan is to continue to expand her growing area and be a better producer.
