Kyee Hnit Pin-2 Village Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase 300 ducklings and vitamins for the ducks.

Kyee Hnit Pin-2 Village Group's story

Kyee Hnit Pin-2 Village group is located in Pyapon Township in Myanmar. Approximately 280 households are located in the village and there are 18 loan clients from Kiva there. Five members are in the picture above named Aung, Thein, Win, Khin and Tin. The middle gentleman with a white t-shirt in the picture is Aung who is 39 years old, and married with two children.

Aung’s principal income comes from farming paddy rice. His family has been doing this for generations. However, as every day goes by, the household expenditure keeps rising. In order to meet that need, breeding ducks, chickens and pigs has become Aung’s secondary income source.

This loan from Kiva will be used to purchase 300 ducklings and some will be used to buy vitamins. If the ducks have good nourishment and are in a healthy condition, they will increase their egg production and warrant higher prices at time of sale.
