Destiny Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy locally produced and certified herbal medicines for malaria, flu, ulcers and joint pain to sell in his business.

Destiny Group's story

Martin (the second man at the left side in the picture) used his previous loan to purchase locally produced and certified herbal medicines to sell. He was able to stock enough medicines to meet the increasing demand from his customers by providing them with medicine to treat common ailments. Martin used part of the profit he made to see to his family’s needs and reinvested the rest into the business.

Martin needs another loan to buy more locally produced and certified herbal medicines to sell. Martin will buy mostly medicines for the treatment of malaria, flu, ulcers, joint pain and other common ailments. These medicines are of high demand since they are very effective in the treatment of the said ailments and are comparatively cheaper and can easily be accessed by those with a low income.

His main challenge is how to reach more remote areas with his medicine. Martin wants to be able to buy a sales van in the next five years so that he will be able to safely transport the medicines himself to his target customers and also cut down on the cost of transportation. Martin will save some of the profit made from his sales towards buying the sale van.

By funding Martin's loan, you are helping to save more lives by making available locally produced and approved medicines.

Martin and his group members are grateful for the kind support from their Kiva lenders.
