Aissatou's Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped buy two 25-kilo bags of vegetables every two days, for retail sales in her village.

Aissatou's Group's story

This group of seven members was set up in December 2010. It is composed of women whose mutual understanding and sense of organization are remarkable. This is a group where there has been a clear progression since joining the program. They conduct various activities, mainly small retail trading, food processing and rainfed agriculture.

Mrs. Aissatou (standing at the far right raising her hand) is the featured borrower of the group. She is married, 24 years old, and the mother of two boys.

She is active at selling fresh vegetables and a good breakfast.

She will use the new loan to buy two 25-kilo bags of vegetables every two days, for retail sales in her village. She also buys condiments for the preparation of breakfasts (milk, sugar, coffee, butter, chocolate,...) which she sells from her home.

Her profits will serve to bolster her savings and participate in taking care of her children.
