Hina's story

A small village in the Badwani district of Madhya Pradesh, is home to 22-year old Hina. She spends her day running her small animal husbandry business and earns Rs. 6,000 on a monthly basis to support her family of three, including her baby son. Her earnings come through sale of four main products: milk, curd, butter and ghee. Despite all the hard work, Hina is ill equipped to manage mounting household expenditure which is around Rs. 9,000 per month.

Unwilling to give up, she plans to buy more cows and expand her small scale enterprise. With greater inventory to sell, she is confident of earning up to Rs. 3,500 per month and thereby help her family lead a better life. But in order to do this, she seeks a loan of Rs. 12,000 - an amount that will go a long way in giving this enterprising woman the support she needs and deserves.
