Dhahabu Group "b"'s loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more chicks to raise, and to increase the stock of chicken feed, medicines, and vitamins.

Dhahabu Group "b"'s story

Lydia is in her mid 40s, and is married with six children. She is a very hardworking woman with a poultry business that raises and sells broiler chicks and eggs to support her family. She has been in this business for over 15 years, working from 6 am to 8 pm daily, and she is making a great monthly profit.

This will be her second loan request to Kiva from Tujijenge Tanzania. Lydia's previous loan, which she paid back successfully, allowed her to increase the number of chicks to raise, and purchased enough stock of feed and vitamins for her business to grow. She is now happy that her business is going so well, and she really appreciates Kiva for their massive support to her loan group "Dhahabu B" which is doing great as well.

Lydia used her profit to cover household expenses, paid tuition fees for her children, and built more sheds for keeping eggs. She's applying for this loan to improve her poultry business, where she plans on buying more broiler chicks to raise, and to increase the stock of chicken feed, medicines, and vitamins for her business to grow. She will share this loan with her six loan group members of "Dhahabu B", who will be responsible for paying back the loan in full at maturity.
