Elvie's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more quantities of toiletries, rice, soda, chips, canned goods, charcoal and other grocery items.

Elvie's story

Elvie is once again thankful that the community of Kiva has supported her business. She was able to purchase the needed grocery items for her variety store. From her earnings, she was able to support her family’s financial needs, especially in paying the monthly electric and water bills. Aside from her variety store, she also has a food stall and a piggery. Part of the loan will go to her other businesses. She has four children and only one is left studying.

For her business to continuously expand and grow, she is asking for assistance again of P50,000 to buy more quantities of toiletries, rice, soda, chips, charcoal and other grocery items. She will also use the loan to buy ingredients for her food stall and feeds for her piggery. Her dream for her variety store is to one day meet more of the community’s needs.

Elvie is a member of the Center for Community Transformation and meets weekly with her fellowship partners to share her life’s testimony and business experience with her fellowship members. She also draws strength and inspiration from the fellowship and listening to the Word of God. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 20 members. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social relationship among partners, and pay Micro Finance loans.
