Fatbardha's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to add two more dairy cows.

Fatbardha's story

Fatbardha is a 63-year-old villager, who wanted the photo taken of her dressed up and next to the chickens; so the loan officer did just that. She is a married mother of two who now wants to buy two dairy cows with your loan.

Fatbardha's family owns about 13 dynyms of land, yet due to the fact that the land is not prolific they don't plant much in it. They just leave the land as pasture for the animals to graze.

Currently, she has only one dairy cow from which she sells raw milk for $6.50/day in cash, making approximately $1750/year. From the 60 chickens she has, she makes approximately $800/year from the eggs and $325/year from a baby calf. Fatbardha also uses grapes to make the local alcohol drink called 'raki' for an annual profit of $350.

Fatbardha lives with her retired husband and their little 8-year-old granddaughter.
