Elsy Noemy's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy corn and firewood to sell tortillas.

Elsy Noemy's story

Elsy has a ninth grade education and left school to help her mother at home. She is married and her husband is a mason and day laborer. She has two daughters who are in school and are dependent on her and her husband.

Elsy has had a tortilla business for 4 years. She used to make her living selling pupusas (a thick corn tortilla stuffed with meat, cheese or beans). She learned about selling tortillas from her mother. She has her business in her home and her daughters help her.

She needs this loan to buy corn and firewood to sell tortillas.

Elsy hopes to have a larger business and that her customers are happy and pleased with her products. She will use the profits from her business to pay for her daughters' studies, as they are her reason for living.
