Leh We Lek Weself Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for more charcoal, firewood, and ogrie (a local food) in large quantities.

Leh We Lek Weself Group's story

Meet the members of the “Leh We Lek Weself” group from Kono. They are all local entrepreneurs who have come to SMT, a partner of Kiva.org, for a loan of 500,000 Sierra Leonean Leones (SLL) for each. With the help of this loan, they will be able to expand their individual businesses, make more sales, and consequently improve their living conditions.

Musu is the featured leader of this group. The 48-year-old is married to an electrician. They have five children: one attends primary school, another is in secondary school, and the other three are not of school age.

Musu has been in business for three years now selling charcoal, firewood, and ogrie (a local food). With her share of this loan, she will pay for charcoal, firewood, and ogrie in large quantities.
