A loan helped to buy a tuk-tuk for providing transportation services.

Samnang's story

Samnang was born in 1981. He has been a journalist for 10 years and his wife has been selling food for one year. They live in the Keansvay district of Kandal Province, Cambodia. He has two daughters, one is in school while the other one is still young.

Samnang thinks about the income from his job since he can’t support his family, so he wants to find new work for earning more income. He discussed with his wife about buying a “tuk-tuk” (motorized rickshaw) for offering tourism transportation during his free time from his job. After they talked, Samnang decided to apply for a loan from MAXIMA to provide additional funds for purchasing a tuk-tuk in order to provide transportation service.

His wish for his family is to save money for his daughters so that they can attend school and have a better future.
