Sisters Group's story

Ms. Hoa is standing second from left in the photo. She is 56 years old and is a widow with two children.

In this group, her circumstance is the most difficult, as her husband passed away a long time ago. She has to work hard to raise her children and keep sending them to school. Hoa lives in Thanh Hoa city, an urban town in Thanh Hoa province. She has operated a food stall selling fish for more than 10 years.

Her family is a low-income household in village; moreover, the market need is low in this region. The main hardship that Hoa faces is lack of capital. In 2013, Hoa joined Thanh Hoa Microfinance Institution to improve her business. Hoa has successfully repaid five loans from Thanh Hoa Microfinance Institution. She is requesting a loan to purchase fish to resell.

With her business profit, Hoa hopes for her business to do well, for her children to find good jobs, and for her family to be healthy and happy.
