Ruth's story

Ruth is a noble, hardworking, honest, and humble farmer. She is a resident of the Kitale area of Kenya, married, and has over five years of experience working independently in this noble profession that she learned from her parents.

She owns her own beautiful field with a spectacular view. She has a rock-solid family, composed of her husband and children. When speaking with Ruth, it becomes obvious that she is a very dynamic, hardworking, helpful woman, and that everything she does is for her family's benefit and well being.

Ruth has been in agriculture for seven years. She makes money selling produce from her farm, including milk, eggs, and crops. She enjoys plowing her farm and watering her plants. With the loan, she plans to buy good quality seeds and fertilizer, which will help increase soil fertility and productivity on her farm. Increased productivity will allow her to improve her quality of life and living standards.

Through her training from Juhudi Kilimo, Ruth has learned about the culture of saving, and she plans to use the increased income to improve her farming. Ruth has the firm intention to advance her farming business. She wants to become a successful businesswoman and ensure a better quality of life and welfare for her family. She knows that, with help from Kiva lenders and Juhudi Kilimo, she can achieve all that and more.

Lend to this enterprising Kenyan woman farmer! Ruth is very thankful in advance and hopes for your help and support.
