After graduating college from Tufts University, I decided to go into the food industry. I started working at an upscale Italian restaurant as a line cook in Boston. After about two years, I moved back to Denver where I grew up, to work as a line cook at a local farm-to-table, high-end restaurant. Eventually, I became a pasty chef at a local dessert bar which helped ignite and promote my own creativity with ingredients. It was then I became curious about starting my own business and using small-scale equipment and sustainable ingredients. Simultaneously, I was working part time at a local immigration law firm and saw the struggles of the Hispanic community re-starting their lives here in Denver. I decided to start a chocolate company focused on my Mexican heritage that would also help promote and support small farmers in Central America. I'm a self-starter, determined, adaptable, and hard-working.
