Betty's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped To improve her plantain fields.
Betty is 32 years old and lives with her husband in their own house. She is the mother of a little one-year-old girl to whom she devotes all of her attention and care. Planting, cultivating and selling plantains and coffee are the everyday activities that Betty has performed for more than three years in the fields that her parents and step-parents have loaned her until she can obtain her own. When she was young, she thought she would go into clothing sales, but she fell in love with farming and her aspirations changed because of the love she has for her husband, since she helps him with their agricultural chores, and over time she learned to love every one of her crops. Now she and her husband are proposing to increase their production and generate enough profits to buy their own fields, but while they are accomplishing this, they are also trying to buy some land in the city where they can build a house with better amenities for their future children. This is her fifth loan with Microfinanzas PRISMA. During her previous loan cycles she has shown herself to be a client who is very punctual in her payments, and one who participates in the activities and fulfills the agreements of her communal bank. She has a lot of affection and gratitude for them because they have allowed her to continue working. With the money provided she is going to take charge of cleaning up her plantain fields. At the same time she will begin to prepare the soil in other areas of the land in order to plant even more.
