Las Marias Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to sell food such as fried chicken, chicken broth, beef, pork, stuffed rice balls, rice soup, beef steak, grilled meat, cannelloni and shredded meat.

Las Marias Group's story

The Las Marias communal association is made up of eleven members, eight women and three men. They are responsible mothers and fathers, with ten young children among them. They are from Sauce, a place located in the northern area of the region. It is known for its typical foods, such as cheese, curds, cream, etc. These members have perseverance and tenacity. They are excellent at making payments, as demonstrated by their prior loans.

The coordinator of the group is Mauda. She works selling lunches from her house. She works ten hours a day offering lunches such as fried chicken, chicken broth, beef, pork, stuffed rice balls, rice soup, beef steak, grilled meat, cannelloni, shredded meat, juices, sodas, etc.

The purpose of the loan is to invest in working capital and stock her business by buying food products to make her different homemade dishes. In the not too distant future she would like to obtain more earnings.

The Las Marias communal association is grateful for the support the Kiva investors provide to people with limited resources and poor countries such as Nicaragua. This allows them to have a dignified means of work.
