A loan helped to buy more skirts, T-shirts, bedsheets, etc. to sell to her community.

Urumuri Kibagabaga Group's story

Liliane is a 32-year-old married mother of three children. She is the leader of the Urumuri Kibagabaga Group, which means the (LIGHT)in English. In the photo, she is the one who has raised her hand. All members of the group are requesting funds to expand their businesses with the hope of supporting their children and families.

Liliane operates a small business of secondhand clothes where she sells skirts, T-shirts, bedsheets, etc. She works hard to support her family and provide them with a better life. Every morning, Liliane opens her stand at 7:00 a.m. and works tirelessly until her daily supply is sold.

She is requesting a loan from Kiva via VisionFund Rwanda Company in order to expand her business. With her profits, she will be able to get medical insurance for her family as well as expand her business. She said that in five years, she will be able to build her own house.
