Akylzhan's story

Akylzhan is 36 years old, married, and the mother of two school-aged children. She has a secondary education and is involved in animal husbandry (she fattens and resells livestock). This activity constitutes her family's main source of income. Thanks to her very hard work, she currently has ten cows, 70 sheep, and two horses on her farm. Akylzhan is a member of the "Nurgul" group which comprises a total of three people. Eager to further grow her business, she has turned to Bai Tushum Bank and requested a loan of 100,000 som (KGS) to buy livestock and increase the size of her herd. She will use the earnings from her loan to further expand her animal husbandry activity.
