A loan helped to buy buffaloes.

Ang Nua 1 Group's story

Tham, 21, is young lady who lives with her husband and two beloved sons in a remote and poor area. Most of Tham and her husband's income comes from growing rice, raising pigs, and working part time in other villagers' fields to earn a little money to cover daily expenses. Because this couple's biggest difficulty is their lack of productive land, they always make a great effort to overcome this difficulty by working part-time jobs and increasing productivity for their farm. Recently, Tham has taken a loan from the Anh Chi Em program to buy buffaloes with the hope that this will bring great profit to her family. Her genuine dream is that her small family will work its way out of poverty and her little boys will have better living conditions. In the picture, she stands first from the right.
