A loan helped to buy sheep for resale.

Benkadi Group's story

Setou Nouhou is a courageous housewife who is part of a group of ten women. She is seen in the photo holding the sheep's head. She is thirty-four years old, married and has three children aged between two and fifteen years old. One of her children currently attends school.

Setou Nouhou has been raising livestock for six years and works with the other members of the group who all raise livestock as well. This is a profitable activity and they work with the field partner RMCR to finance their businesses. Setou Nouhou buys and sells her animals at local markets. She keeps them for some time to fatten them up and then sells them for a good profit. She earns between 90,000 and 110,000 francs CFA which pays for her child's education, buys more sheep and helps her husband provide for the family's needs.

Setou Nouhou's aim is to help her children with their education and develop her business.
