A loan helped to continue building his own house in his hometown in Syria.

Amine's story

Amine is a Syrian refugee, who is working in construction with a limited monthly salary, to support his family, which consists of a hardworking wife and three children.

He started a construction business at an early age, since his father used to do this kind of work, and he was raised doing it. He had to quit school during his intermediate levels to accompany his dad in his hard work and support him.

Amine's main aim is to make sure that he is covering his family's needs and finishing building his own house in his hometown in Syria, which he is longing to do. Since his income is barely enough to cover his family's daily living needs in Lebanon, he decided to take the opportunity provided to Syrian refugees by Kiva's field partner Al Majmoua, and acquire a special Refugee's loan product to continue building his own house in his hometown in Syria.

He hopes that one day he can manage his own business, and improve his family's living.
