Aisha's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped replace equipment, and rebuild my store back to working order.

Aisha's story

Raised in Baltimore, Maryland, I never imagined that entrepreneurship would be the headline of my life goals. Growing up in A Jamaican household, I was always a custom to the traditional Caribbean way of life. One thing for sure, I was taught to be a hard worker and be self sufficient. At the age of 18, I moved to Atlanta to matriculate at a 4 year university. Upon graduation, I took my talents to Los Angeles California where i became a Television Producer. From Los Angeles to Stamford, Connecticut I soon became A Producer at NBCUniversals The Maury Show. With money saved and a drive to be an entrepreneur, I opened my first Business, Pinky's Jamaican and American Restaurant. Upon its conception two years ago, Pinky's is the only restaurant in Harlem that mixes traditional Jamaican flare with modern day soul food. The flavor of the food alone entices one to want to travel to the island of Jamaica! In 5 years, Pinky's will be in at least 4 states and will be able to be franchised to potential business owners.
